The Maps Of The Future Look Like Giant Cracker Jack Toys

Ebay Survey Says Americans Buy Crap They Don’t Want

Flex SDK 3.1 and Flex Builder 3.0.1 Updates : Support for AIR 1.1
Im a little late on this, but the Flex and Flex Builder teams just released updates to the Flex SDK and Flex Builder 3, which among other things, adds support for Adobe AIR 1.1. There are also a ton of bug fixes for the Flex SDK and Flex Builder, as well as preliminary support for working with Flash Player 10 content in Flex Builder (although it is not clear where to download the debug player from. Im looking into this). You can download the Flex 3.1 update from the Flex downloads page (it is b

Performance is terrific. The site is crisp and clear. Even with our tiny beta audience, you get great answers quickly. CEP vs. BRE - A TIBCO TTL (Top Ten List)
My colleague, Paul, got lots of… let’s call it, “feedback” regarding his post on the impending demise of the standalone Business Rule Engine (BRE) Market. Are Mashups the 'Agile' Part of Web 2.0?
I've been into computers since I was 4 years old. I went to an esteemed (so they tell me) computer science school, or at least that's what they tell me. Bruce’s Loo
Yesterday was the final day of UX Week 2008, and our final speaker was Bruce Sterling. Though I’d heard of Bruce during the rise of cyberpunk, I was never all that aware of him until I attended South by Southwest Interactive in 1999. He was a legendary presence at the event, both providing the final thoughts to the attendees, and hosting a rocking party at his house. I had the fortune of Bruce speaking at another event of mine, IDEA 2006, where he did a remarkable job of summarizing the pr

Dion Hinchcliffe recently provide a comprehensive overview of the status of cloud computing for the enterprise in his post, Enterprise cloud computing gathers steam. However, the groundwork for their eventual transformation and dow

Nature rules over robotics: Aibo toy-bone repurposed by puppy
Today our puppy discovered the pink toy-bone that originally came with the third generation of the Sony Aibo robotic dog: Sadly, the Aibo was canceled by Soiny in March 2006, but Fenway, our puppy, took possession and repurposed the pink Aibo toy-bone as a new chew-toy. It should be noted that the pink bone didn't last long. It's been proved once again: nature rules over robotics...
